Anita Barone

Anita Barone, a stage actress with a wide range of skills who is mostly involved in sitcoms on TV and got the most coveted chance to shine as Jeff Foxworthy's spouse on ABC's "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" which aired for one season in 1995 until 1996. Barone's first stage appearance was when she was five years old, in Detroit the city where her family relocated after having moved away from St Louis. She was 23 when Barone had appeared in more than 50 plays. Most of them were at regional or university theaters. She played Juliet as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Helen Keller in an adaptation of "Monday After the Miracle" in addition to the part in the role of Agnes the teen, tortured character in "Agnes of God." Barone made her screen debut with a small role on the screen in "The Rosary Murders" (1987) she also played one scene as a character in "Ricochet" (1991) as well as landed a lead in the indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" (1996). However, her first Hollywood job of note was in the company that owns "Carol & Company" (NBC in 1990 and 1991), the ill-fated the plan to Carol Burnett to revive the variety show/comedy program.
